THE DIFF-HEXs

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The concept of this project is the exploration of geometric morphology; the resolutions between the original footprint to the primitive hexagon. The formal studies was driven by contextual influences. The forms were divided into three maint segments: base, mid and top. The Base geometry is an trapozoid, and the top is a perfect hexagon. The mid geometry is the reinforcement to ensure smooth transition between the two.

The results varied from sharp geometric to organic formal language. The choreography of the formal exploration operates in the pushing and pulling of the control points of the mid and top geometries.

The enclosure of the structure is explored through parametric design, which is the aggregation of hexagons on the complexed surface of the formal exploration.
