The project concept is to create space where both the communities could utilize not just as a museum but spaces for architecture education for the youths as well as anyone who is interested in design, and a space the public could use for their everyday leisure such as walking, running, and public events.

FORMAL STRATEGY

The formal strategy was the system of unraveling of the surface to create various formal languages to fit the different programs. The inspiration has been driven by the idea of the lily pad that is inhabiting the water, and act as a platform in
supporting the environment, which is the Art District and Boyle Heights.
